UEFA Champions League 2024 Has New Format

The UEFA Champions League 2024 season will have a new look and format. What is the UCL League Phase?

As mentioned earlier, we will no longer have the group stage. Instead, each team that will qualify for the new league phase will play against 8 different teams. Four of those games will be home games, with four on the road. Because of the new format, this phase will last longer than the previous group stage. By the time we get to the 8^th game for each team, it will be late January 2025.

The teams are split into four pots, and each team will play against two teams from each of those pots. There will be one home game, and one away game against a team from each of those pots will be the schedule for each team.

The top 8 teams will qualify for the round of 16. Meanwhile, teams that are ranked 9^th to 24^th will enter the knockout round. Those who rank 25^th and lower will be eliminated from Europe and will not drop into the UEFA Europa League.

As for the 8 knockout round winners, they will then face the top 8 teams in the round of 16. After this, we now head into the round of 16. This means that we will resume the regular format that we are all familiar with.
