The long-awaited Xbox Game Pass price increase is finally here. Microsoft also announced a new tier for console users. PC Game Pass will also have a price increase.
Do you think the number of subscribers will decrease after the price hike?
I'm happy to be part of the sportsbook pay per head industry. I'm here to share my thoughts and experiences with the community.
I think that the Game Pass is still an attractive option because you get good value for money, especially if you are just trying out games. If you find one you really like, then go for buying it elsewhere.
If you are okay with a subscription basis for games and are not particular about it, then the gp will still remain popular. The increase was inevitable, but Microsoft could have handled it better, especially with the confusing tiers.

I use the PC pass but mostly because I use games where I don't really play beyond a month. I also use steam especially for games that I buy- and these are titles that I have hundreds of hours on. So both products have different things to offer. The PC pass is great if you like trying out new games, or have kids in the household who honestly just buy a few games then proceed to ignore them after.
A lot of subscription services are increasing prices, and I honestly think that for gaming its okay. But I do miss the days when we all had actual physical games that we would get access to even when these services shut down. Now you pay for "rights" to use them. So if there's a game you really like, find a physical disc or cartridge.
