As sports betting is legal in most states, is there still a need for anyone that resides in a state where sports gambling is legal to use an offshore sportsbook? What do you think are the pros and cons of using an offshore sportsbook?
Pros of Using an Offshore Sportsbook
- No tax from their end
- bigger bonuses
- Anonymous
- better odds
Cons of Using an Offshore Sportsbook
- No protection if they rip you off
- it is illegal in some states
- payment options are limited

no taxes, bigger bonuses and being anonymous are the biggest pros.
Biggest con are the payment options as it is often a hassle.
Agree with what you guys posted, so I'm just going to add to it:
Pros:
- No limits on what you can bet on (especially with prop bets on college sports for the US)
Cons:
- waiting for payouts if the bookie schedules it out.
Always on the lookout for extra income so I can retire early. Got lucky with betting. Had I known, I should have learned how to become a college bookie. Maybe I would have been semi-retired now. Soon, though. Soon.
Privacy is the best pro as well as better odds compared to local books.
The biggest disadvantage would be the risk you take when that you might not collect your winnings, especially if you win big.
You can actually get a lot of really nice lines. The con is the risk of not getting your money back.
