Kambi Group Appoints Werner Becher as the New CEO

Things are moving in the sports betting software industry as the Kambi Group Appoints Werner Becher as the New CEO. According to a Kambi Group PLC press release, Becher will start as the new Chief Executive Officer starting July 25, 2024. The date was chosen as it will be after the release of the company’s Q2024 report.

Once Becher takes over as the new CEO, he will have two objectives. The first is to sustain the company’s success. The second will be to strengthen its position as a top sports gambling partner/collaborator in the sports betting industry.

Kambi Group Appoints Werner Becher as the New CEO to replace Kristian NylénAfter an extensive search and selection process involving a competitive group of candidates, Becher has been chosen to spearhead Kambi’s upcoming growth phase. With prior senior roles in both B2B and B2C companies in the sports betting industry, as well as experience in the technology sector, Becher is well-equipped to lead the company forward.

Becher held a significant role at the international sports data and betting provider Sportradar for a span of four years starting in 2019. Initially, he served as the Managing Director of its US-focused Betting division before transitioning to the position of CEO overseeing its Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America operations. Becher was instrumental in the successful Nasdaq IPO of Sportradar in September 2021.

Before his time at Sportradar, Becher spent eight years as the CEO of the European betting and gaming company Interwetten. During his time with Interwetten , he guided them through a period of consistent expansion. More recently, Becher has been active as an independent investor and advisor.

For his part, Becher is very happy about taking the CEO position as Kambi.
