2024 NFL Preseason Schedule and Training Camp UpdatesMajority of the NFL preseason games will be aired by local tv sports networks. There will be national coverage, but do not expect it to be at par with regular season games. Week 1 of the Preseason starts August 8, with just two games as the Panthers play at the Patriots, and the Lions will visit the Giants. Friday to Sunday, August 9-11 will give you a lot of events that you can offer to your players. Make sure you start a football betting website before then.

Week 2 will be from August 15 to August 18. Then Week 3 will have games from August 22 through August 25. Then, everyone gets a short break as we prepare for the opening kickoff of the NFL 2024 Regular Season on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

NFL Training Camp Updates

The NFL training camp will happen alongside the preseason festivities. Dates for training camp varies per team, and rookies and veterans can have different start dates as well. The earliest camp opened back on July 13 for the Baltimore Ravens.

Training camps are a great way for those in the industry to get a preview of each team, especially those with new players. However, injuries also happen during this time. While some are mild and negligible, other injuries could compromise the player’s chances in the coming season.

Training Camp Injuries

2024 NFL Preseason Schedule and Training Camp UpdatesThe list of player injuries are growing.  Justin Herbert, quarterback for the Chargers, suffered a foot injury (plantar fascia) during practice. He has to be in a walking boot for two weeks. But he should be ready for the regular season. However, Andy Dalton of the Panthers will be out for at least two weeks after suffering from a quad injury. The Panthers are out of a quarterback just days ahead of the Preseason games. The team is now looking for an emergency QB to sub for Herbert.

The Buccaneers have their worst injury so far, losing an offensive lineman for the season. Guard Sua Opeta tore his ACL and will not play for a year. The Cowboys’ edge rusher, Sam Williams, also tore his ACL and will miss the season. Another player who will miss the season is the Colts’ Samson Ebukan. He is down with a torn Achilles tendon. Mekhi Blackmon would have had a great start with Minnesota, but he also tore his ACL. He is also out for the year.

With the changes to the rosters due to injuries and other reasons, expect the betting odds for some teams to change as well. As long as you are using the best sportsbook PPH software, then you will find it easier to check your lines. Adjust them based on your players’ activity. Enjoy the light pace for football betting right now. Because things will get really busy once September comes.
