I just read this article by priceperplayer.com about using team sponsorship to market their sportsbook, https://priceperplayer.com/using-team-sponsorship-to-market-your-sportsbook
While the article is good and has a lot of useful information I am thinking that this sportsbook marketing article is not useful for bookies. I mean, most bookies are low key and like to stay under the radar, so I dont know any bookie that would sponsor a team to help advertise their book. Or at least, not any bookie in the U.S. or countries that have a ridiculous cost to have sports betting license.
Other than that, it is a good read as it talks about sponsoring teams in grass roots or amateur league and how sponsoring them is affordable and is worth it depending on their popularity.
So what's your opinion on sponsoring a sports team to market your sportsbook? Is it a good idea for bookies?

It is only suitable for sportsbook operations with brick-and-mortar locations and bookies with a substantial online presence. However, I think sponsoring an amateur team is good for attracting bettors on a local level, as long as you have the proper legal requirements to operate in that area.
